Beach Break Live 2008
After an amazing Beach Break Live 2008, the first acts have been confirmed for the 2009 Beach Break Live student festival, which is likely to be held in St Agnes rather than Polzeath this year.
Dizzee Rascal and The Zutons will join Mystery Jets, Friendly Fires, Ladyhawke, The Whip, Cuban Brothers, Noisettes, Red Light Company, Ebony Bones, Dan Black and VV Brown.
There will also be DJ sets from DJ Yoda, Scratch Perverts, Krafty Kuts, Caspa & Rusko, Urban Knights, Chase & Status, Takura & Plan B, and the Freestylers.
Non-musical entertainment on the agenda features The Mighty Cornish Goblet – a challenge involving everything from sheep racing to hay bale hurling and no doubt some golden nectar from cider sponsors Brothers Cider from Somerset, The Ticket to Ride Surf Championships, eco-friendly hot tubs and a big fancy dress finale.
The festival is the brainchild of young entrepreneurs Celia Norowzian and Ian Forshew, both graduates of The University of Birmingham, who pitched for funding on BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den programme.
Visit Beach Break Live for further details about the line-up, tickets, etc.
